London is a city built on progress. Creativity, ideas, and discovery are the beating heart of the capital’s melting pot of cultures, where its people can dare to dream big. Few landmarks capture that spirit as vividly as the London Eye, which is now synonymous with the capital itself. It is not just an attraction, but a cultural touchstone recognised worldwide.

Turning 25: London’s Eye marks the landmark’s milestone 25th anniversary, originally conceived as a temporary structure to celebrate the millennium. This film tells the story of this feat of architectural brilliance, weaving in personal and intimate stories from high-profile contributors including one of its visionary creators, MBE Julia Barfield, and cultural figures, David Harewood, Russell Tovey, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. It also features voices from those who have been part of its journey over the past quarter-century, blending history, culture and personal reflection of the capital and the London Eye’s iconic status.

The short film was produced in a collaboration between Stripe Communications and Chief Productions in less than 8 weeks to create a piece of legacy content that will continue to live on.

Part of a wider 25th anniversary PR & Marketing campaign, the film aimed to raise London Eye’s profile, reinforce its iconic status globally, and position it as a symbol of progress, ideas and an emblem of London. It was especially crucial in securing media cut through nationally and internationally, helping deliver over 1,000 pieces of coverage with over 100 including a direct mention of the film.
