Second Winds was created by AbbVie as part of their patient advocacy work. It was directed by Oscar-shortlisted and award-winning filmmaker Dominic Gill. The film launched on the Los Angeles Times’ Short Docs, a platform for prestige documentary films. It was followed by a streaming launch on Documentary+. After a premiere screening hosted by actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the film earned coverage in Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, E! News and BitPix.
