Still Christmas

Stroke Association

On Christmas Day in the UK, another 240 people will wake up to the devastating impact of a stroke. Many will be left unable to move, see, speak or even swallow, alongside emotional and psychological impacts. To shift the nation’s awareness of stroke and the vital support role of the Stroke Association, we used Christmas as a moment to make the invisible visible.

Our first-ever Christmas film, Still Christmas, produced by Stream Media Group, shows Christmas through the eyes of stroke survivors and those that care for them. Through a powerful line-up of high-profile supporters and a diverse range of emotive user generated content, set to a contemporary cover of White Christmas, it captures the reality of the first Christmas after a stroke. Designed as an ‘earned-first’ campaign, Still Christmas, aimed to drive an increase in awareness of stroke and spark national conversation within an audience of ABC 55+. With over 1 million organic campaign film views, high profile support extending the social media reach to audiences of more than 1.3 million, a 3% rise in prompted brand awareness and 20% increase in active website users, the results exceeded all expectations. Still Christmas successfully reframed public understanding of stroke at an emotionally resonant time of year - driving conversation, connection and compassion for the 1.3 million people affected by stroke.
