The North Face Presents: Trango

The North Face

“The North Face Presents: Trango” follows renowned ski mountaineers Jim Morrison and Christina ‘Lusti’ Lustenberger, two elite athletes sponsored by The North Face, as they set out to complete the first-ever ski descent of the formidable Great Trango Tower in Pakistan. At 6,000 meters constant exposure tests their resolve, navigating risk, grappling with grief, and facing extreme danger as they push the limits of human experience.

As they approach the Trango summit, we learn this expedition was first conceived by Jim Morrison with his mountaineering and life partner Hilaree Nelson, who tragically died in an avalanche in Nepal. An unbelievable story of passion, inspiration, and endurance, which personifies The North Face mission to “never stop exploring.” Following a world premiere at the Academy Award-qualifying 2025 Mountainfilm Festival and a sold out media screening during the Sundance Film Festival, “Trango” screened in US cinemas in the fall/winter of 2025 and played at 15 international film festivals. In 2026, Trango will screen throughout the UK as part of the Kendall Mountain Festival Tour, and will be available globally on major streaming channels. Directed by Leo Hoorn, “The North Face Presents: Trango” reveals the courage needed to overcome personal and physical challenges and the life-changing power of exploration.
